The vessel is intended to operate a high-frequency ambulance service in partially smooth waters from Gladstone Harbour to Curtis Island, transferring ambulance patients to land-based Ambulance facilities. The highly efficient hull shape allows high speeds and low washes to be achieved in an environmentally sensitive area. The catamaran form allows a roomy main cabin whilst maintaining the sleek underwater shape.
